Composer/Performer Ned Rothenberg has been internationally acclaimed for both his solo and ensemble music, presented for the past 40 years on 5 continents. He performs primarily on alto saxophone, clarinet, bass clarinet, and the shakuhachi - an endblown Japanese bamboo flute. He leads the trio Sync, with Jerome Harris, guitars and Samir Chatterjee, tabla, whose work is documented on 3 releases including Port of Entry on Intuition, Harbinger on Rothenberg's Animul label and Inner Diaspora on John Zorn's Tzadik label. Harris and Chatterjee are world-class musicians, whose experience includes work with giants such as Sonny Rollins and Ravi Shankar.
