Itaiguara is a New York City-based recording artist and bassist/guitarist. A native of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, he has toured internationally and recorded extensively with a wide range of Latin and World Music artists such as: Dianne Reeves, Marcos Valle, Toquinho, Paul Simon, Carlos Lyra, Roberto Menescal, Leny Andrade, Joyce, Alcione, Dom Salvador, Chuck Loeb, Randy Brecker, Paquito D'Rivera, among many others.

Mauricio is a critically acclaimed and award-winning drummer and artist. Credited in more than 100 albums so far in his career, crossing over musical styles. Collaborations with Hiromi, Eliane Elias, Lee Ritenour, Dave Grusin, Esperanza Spalding, Richard Bona, Paquito D’Rivera, Eddie Daniels, Romero Lubambo, Ivan Lins, Rosa Passos, Dom Salvador among others.
