Spanish pianist Albert Marques currently resides in Brooklyn where he’s been flourishing in the New York jazz scene after a successful stint in Paris. Marques plays contemporary piano with a distinctive urban feel, unique and profoundly percussive, a mix that has lead him to be part of several jazz projects with drummers such as Leon Parker and Ari Hoenig. He has also collaborated with legendary Latin jazz composer Arturo O’Farrill. For this event, Marques will mix the sounds of the Brooklyn contemporary jazz scene with Flamenco.
