Just 25, she’s already recorded and toured with the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra (JLCO) with Wynton Marsalis The Ever Fonky Lowdown—and will join them again in December for Big Band Holidays tour—vocalist Ashely Pezzotti prompted longtime JLCO trumpeter/arranger Marcus Printup to comment: “Ashley Pezzotti is a ‘singer’s singer’. Not only does she deliver timeless melodies (standards and her original compositions), she has also mastered the art of ‘scat singing’ and can hold her own with any horn player.” Her 2019 encouragingly titled album “We’ve Only Just Begun” features an array of original compositions inspired by the Great American Songbook. The release was accompanied by a national tour including performances at Birdland Jazz Club, The Velvet Note, The Nash, The Jazz Showcase, and Dizzy’s Club at Jazz At Lincoln Center.
