Jason Walker began his professional career singing in the bass and baritone sections of a mixed quartet formed to reconstruct historic music for the PBS film series on slavery, “Africans in America.” Jason spent six years performing as a featured soloist and ensemble leader of Robert Wilson, Bernice Johnson Reagon and Toshi Reagon’s Temptations of Saint Anthony production. He most recently toured with Philip Glass and Robert Wilson’s Einstein on the Beach. In addition to his prolific theater resume, Walker has an impressive solo career. His first album Just Like You draws from Walker’s musical expertise in the genres of jazz, gospel, classical, and opera.
