Axel Tosca (Pianist, Composer, Producer, Arranger) It was a foregone conclusion that Pianist, Composer, Producer, Arranger Axel Tosca was destined to be a musician. Born in Cuba to Cuban singer/folkloric songwriter Albert Tosca and world-renowned Cuban vocalist Xiomara Laugart, his musical influences were everywhere, and his fate was sealed.

His first interest was the guitar, but by age 7, he found his calling with the piano. Studying diligently under the guidance of Miriam Valdez, the sister of pianist/virtuoso Chucho Valdez, and Rosa Marie Talon, Axel's technique and style started to evolve. He began his formal training at the prestigious Paulita Concepcion Elementary School of Music and graduated from the equally well-known Amadeo Roldan Provincial School Of Music as a teenager. In 2005, on the advice of Amadito Valdez of the Buena Vista Social Club, Axel decided to move to the United States as part of the world touring company "Havana Nights” performing in Las Vegas for two consecutive years. When he relocated to New York City in 2009, Axel was awarded a scholarship to finish his Bachelor's Degree in Music at the New School Of Contemporary Jazz/Parsons University. During that time, he started his first band, (U)nity, with drummer Amaury Acosta. (U)nity has been together for 7 years, which produced two albums; "Peace, Love, and Music and "(U)nity Is Power". Currently, he is a member of Louie Vega's Elements Of Life Band
