A singer and a piano: for over three hundred years, composers from Schubert to Nina Simone have turned to this timeless genre to communicate their most intimate art. Our intention is to break down barriers of language and style to expose connections between poetry and music across this enormous span.

A recital is a chance to explore and discover. We will sing classical music in the original language and with new English poetry, as well as popular songs that have become classics in our own era, and new music by the composers of today.

Maria Eleni Zollo has performed as a soprano soloist, operatic actress and choral artist at venues including Carnegie Hall (Stern and Weil Halls), Norwegian National Opera House, Savannah Voice Festival, and Lincoln Center's Merkin Hall. She is currently the head chanter and music director at Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Brooklyn, NY.

At 26 years old, pianist Baron Fenwick has performed as a recitalist and a soloist with orchestras around the world, most recently in China, Japan, New York, Portland, and other cities. He enjoys sharing music with audiences, collaborators, and students, and he embraces a repertoire that transcends classical and popular styles over four hundred years of music. Music, reflecting the human spirit, can never age but must speak to every generation with fresh enthusiasm.
