Born in São Paulo, Brazil, Eisenmann has always been intrigued with the idea of translating different musical sonorities to the piano. Eisenmann focuses on unique collaborations with artists from all different fields: dancers, poets, and actors. Among his latest releases, the 2017 album "The Free Poetics of Henrique Eisenmann" (Red Piano Records) has drawn unanimous praise from critics across the world. Eisenmann has performed in numerous international jazz festivals and has worked with dozens of outstanding musicians such as Gunther Schuller, Luciana Souza, George Garzone, Matti Caspi and Tom Zé. His doctoral thesis explored the idea of free improvisation as an international phenomenon. Henrique is part of the jazz piano faculty at the New England Conservatory in Boston.
Adam Neely
Adam Neely is a bassist, composer and YouTuber with an engaged subscriber base of more than one million musicians. His educational content explores what music means, and what it means to be a musician. He has appeared on NPR, TEDx, Vox, SiriusXM, SXSW, Ableton Loop, MAGfest, Bass Player Magazine, Electronic Musician Magazine and Ultimate Guitar. His videos cover a wide range of topics in music theory, music cognition, jazz improvisation, musical performance technique, musicology and memes. In this show, Adam features some of his original music, arrangements and improvisation based on Jazz, Fusion, Rock and R&B.
Lee Fish
Acclaimed Boston-born drummer and composer Lee Fish has been part of the thriving Brooklyn music scene since 2018. A fixture at Wally’s Cafe during his student tenure at Berklee — playing with such distinctive leaders as Jason Palmer, Esperanza Spalding, Nadia Washington, and Noah Preminger — Lee became a highly sought collaborator in Boston, who’s now flexing his breadth as a leader in New York City.
Having earned his master’s degree on full scholarship at the Berklee Global Jazz Institute, Lee received his earliest musical education on the road. Long before he studied under Danilo Pérez, Terri Lyne Carrington and Joe Lovano, at age 3, he would perform with his parents’ band Amante at venues across North America, from Florida to Quebec. Since then, he’s performed all over the world on nearly every continent, appearing on more than 50 recordings, including Mike Tucker’s 2014 release Live! Featuring Warren Wolf, and Jason Palmer’s critically acclaimed 2019 release Sweet Love that received four stars from DownBeat Magazine.
